Boric acid pessaries or capsules is compounded by our Pharmacy. It is bacteriostatic, fungistatic and is used to treat persistent vaginal thrush, resistant to other anti-fungal agents. The most common dose used is 600mg daily for 14 days. It is inserted vaginally at night and NOT to be swallowed.
